Susan Hollar is a Texas native who began her career as a dentist first by earning a dental hygiene degree in 1975, then moving on to earn her dental degree in 1980 from Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Hollar is an expert in advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry and has won numerous awards and accolades from her peers. She has maintained a private practice in Arlington, Texas since 1982, where she limits her practice to restorative and cosmetic procedures. She is the only dentist to have been voted Best Cosmetic Dentist by her peers in Fort Worth Magazine, Texas Monthly, and D Magazine in 2005 - 2022!
Beginning in 1990, Dr. Hollar became very interested in esthetic dentistry and began her quest to become not only a restorative dentist, but also to further develop her already keen eye for aesthetics and smile design. She is the first female dentist in the state of Texas to become a Fellow with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a testament to her skilled artistry in cosmetic dentistry, and one of only 80 dentists in the world to receive this prestigious accreditation. She has been chair of the board of the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry and serves as an examiner for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (www.aacd.com), where she evaluates and judges prospective candidates for accreditation. She is also one of only 43 dentists in the world deemed a Pankey Scholar.
Another one of Dr. Hollar’s professional passions is lecturing and teaching throughout the United States and Canada. Appealing to both the beginning dentist and the advanced dentist, Dr. Hollar loves sharing the latest advances in restorative and cosmetic techniques. She has lectured in Vancouver, Honolulu, Buffalo, Boston, New York City, San Francisco, San Antonio, Dallas, Milwaukee, Columbus, and New York City. She also is a visiting faculty member with The Pankey Institute and The Scottsdale Center for Dentistry.
